DETAILED ITINERIES

NEW DELHI, AGRA, JAIPUR

Day 1 – Arrive Delhi

On arrival you will be met at the International airport and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 – Tour Old and New Delhi

Today you will visit the fascinating sights of Old and New Delhi. You’ll be taken on a bicycle rickshaw ride through the streets of Old Delhi, a truly memorable experience, as well as, visit the Red Fort; the Jama Masjid; the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi; the Qutab Minar; Humayun’s Tomb; the India Gate; the Parliament House; and stroll through the bustling markets and bazaars.

Day 3 – To Agra

Today you will take an early morning drive from Delhi to Agra, enjoying the Indian villages and countryside on the way. After arrival and check-in at your hotel you will visit the red sandstone Agra Fort. In the afternoon, you’ll tour the Taj Mahal, arguably the greatest monument to love, built by Shah Jahan as a memorial to his wife Mumtaz and a building world-renowned for its power and beauty.

Day 4 – Agra to Jaipur

Today you will take an early morning drive to Jaipur. Enroute you will visit Fatehpur Sikri, the one time red sandstone capital of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, which was built during the second half of the 16thCentury. Afternoon arrival in Jaipur.

Day 5 – Jaipur

This morning drive through the rugged hills that surround Jaipur, the pink city, to visit Amber Fort, a beautiful palace with ornate mosaics, colored stone inlays, intricately painted murals, palaces, temples and cooling courtyard watercourses. Enjoy a ride on a caparisoned elephant up the ramparts to the Fort. In the afternoon take a guided tour through the old city to explore the colorful markets and bazaars before continuing onto the City Palace complex that occupies the center of Jaipur. Painted pink as a mark of welcome, the City Palace was completed in 1732 and houses the intriguing Armory Museum and the beautiful Peacock Gate. Nearby is the Hawa Mahal, or Palace of the Winds, which forms part of the east wall of the City Palace complex. Built at the turn of the 19th Century, this 5-storied structure with its elaborate façade was built for the ladies of the harem and is best seen from the street outside. Further along is the Jantar Mantar, the largest stone observatory in the world.

Day 6 – Jaipur to Delhi

This morning take a guided tour through the old city to explore the colorful markets and bazaars. Proceed to the airport for internal flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi proceed to International airport for departure home.
